OpenAtelier.

Tanja has been teaching painting courses for adults and kids' art for over 30 years. At OFFStudio that long-running practice finally has a dedicated home: Wednesday evenings we open the atelier for shared painting, drawing and experimentation. Kids' art for ages 6–13 runs on Mondays on its own page.

Format

Two slots. Two hours. Painting together.

On Wednesdays we hold two set atelier sessions at 18:00 and 20:00, 120 minutes each. Each group has up to ten people: small enough for real conversation and eye contact, roomy enough for your own work. Shared studio time matters to us: painting side by side, swapping ideas when it feels natural, sometimes working in quiet parallel. It belongs here just as much as deep focus on your piece. Bring whatever you're working on. Note: art supplies aren’t included in the fee; if you’re unsure what to bring, we’re happy to give you a quick steer beforehand.

Pricing

12-month membership or 8-session card · tied to each cycle.

We keep open atelier in gentle cycles with set evenings so the space feels welcoming, not hectic: you get a steady rhythm for your work, we can prepare properly, and over time many people enjoy seeing familiar faces around the table. You can choose between a 12-month membership with four sessions per month (Wednesdays, two slots, materials not included) and an 8-session card; the card covers eight evenings per cycle, and two dates can be moved by arrangement or shifted to the end if life gets in the way. There is no atelier during Hessian school holidays. You'll find the exact rates on our pricing page; if you like, we'll happily walk you through what fits.

Kids' art and workshops with Tanja & Smilla.

Tanja's kids' art courses have been running for decades; now they happen at OFFStudio. The regular Monday course has its own page; workshops and holiday formats are led by Tanja & Smilla together. You can sign your child up for the autumn holiday course directly.
